Do you know a young person who could benefit from having a mentor?

Our services include one-to-one mentoring, group mentoring, a community of support, and resources to help youth who are transitioning from foster care or facing homelessness.

Participants are invited to attend our monthly life skill workshops and activities. We partner with advocates in the community to help youth overcome barriers to success.

JourneyUP Mentor Program is seeking young people who are:

  • age 14 to 24 transitioning from foster care or facing homelessness in the Salt Lake City area
  • willing to connect and stay in contact with a mentor for a year or more
  • able to behave safely and appropriately in one-to-one and group activities
  • interested in having support to help them accomplish educational, employment, or life goals

Volunteer Mentors

Our volunteer mentors (age 25+) are positive role models but not professional social workers. They can help connect motivated youth with opportunities and resources to accomplish goals and start life on their own. Youth who need professional-level support will be considered on a case-by-case basis as appropriate mentors can be identified.
